From News Packages to creative films, I enjoy telling a variety of stories through video and audio. I edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro. For sports reels, check out @paigetolanmedia and @ithacawsoccer reels.
Overdue
This film entitled "Overdue" was created for a class project. I had to create a character and their background, write a poem from their point of view, and create a video capturing their headspace.
While editing, I changed the direction and opacity of many clips to overlay them, creating a distortion effect.
This film won "Best Overall Poem Video" in May 2022 at the Roy H. Park School of Communications. Additionally, it was chosen to be submitted to the Broadcast Education Association Media Festival.
TedxProvincetown Behind the Scenes
TedxProvincetown took place on June 17th, 2022 in Provincetown, MA. I had the opportunity to co-create a Behind the Scenes video to capture the setup and experience of the event.
We used a voiceover from the Producer of the TedX Event to guide the audience throughout the process.
Narrow Land About Video
While interning at Narrow Land as a Creative Media Intern, one capstone project was creating an "About" video for the company that showcased the studio as well as what the company does.
The company wanted a clean, modern, and simple look to this video.
By creating interview questions that highlight the company, a voice over tells audiences what Narrow Land is about.
This video is now used on their official website.
Ithaca college tvdm reel
I was asked by the Television and Digital Media Production Department to edit a trailer of the department for the All American High School Film Festival.
Using footage from previous student's work, I was able to showcase what TVDM is all about. I organized and pieced together footage to appeal to an audience of young students with an interest in Ithaca College.
Cape cod kayak
In 2020, I was a Field Reporter for Good Day Ithaca, a morning news show at Ithaca College. I made a variety of packages in which I interviewed subjects, wrote a script, filmed, and edited the entire story. I learned the foundations of media through news reporting.
This package highlights Cape Cod Kayak, a great fall activity during the time of social distancing.
Uplifted Nutrition
This package highlights the journey of a new business, Uplifted Nutrition, opening during the pandemic. With safety as the main priority, various precautions were used to keep customers safe.
